Seriously? User are offering to donate/pay for ages, which is ignored, and now ads everywhere without any possibility to opt-out of it?

Soup always had the "nerd-creds" for me, and I would love to pay a monthly fee. But instead going down the "ads everywhere with an annoying-as-fuck fallback graphic for ad blockers"-route.. Wow.

Until now, I considered the Foursquare/Swarm split to be the boldest move to disappoint a user base in 2014 - but we now apparently have another last-minute contestant. This is very disappointing.
